Currently, the technology introduced to the market has significantly complicated our jobs and with parking app usage on the rise our work grows more complex while our fees earned are diminishing. The inventory control and frustrations of loading for an event are only increasing. We need technologically advanced solutions that provide real insight and data for smarter parking and connected cities, thus driving more traffic to our facilities without sacrificing margins.

I believe that the future of mobility is data-driven. Internet of Things (IoT) is a stepping stone towards ubiquitous and ambient computing that will ultimately unify cities, vehicles, parking, and humans.

The utopia of perfect harmony between man and machine should be balanced with the realities of an imperfect world. The current state of technology, garage operations, and legacy systems present challenges that must be incrementally overcome.

Garage Data is our first step towards creating a low cost, high throughput platform that can help operators and cities clarify, unify and disseminate information with appropriate controls to enable a better future for parking.
